I have 8 months to get back in shape. Could taking whey protein, bcaa powder and creatine help you gain muscle faster than not taking it?

Yes: As long as these supplements are combined with intense, dedicated workouts, you should take them. If you're not committed to the workouts, they will just at weight/fat. You need 4-5 days of cardiovascular training a week for 45 minutes per day at 80% of maximum age corrected heart rate. You also need to weightlift with moderate weight and high repetitions 3-4 times per week.
