Other sourse: You assume that your halitosis was coming from that rotten tooth. There may be a different source. Did your dentist perform a complete exam, or did s/he just treat the problematic tooth? After you rule out any other dental problems, see a gastroenterologist regarding acid reflux and your diet.

Dental Pain: First of all, contact the dentist or oral surgeon who removed your tooth tomorrow! in the meantime, rinse gently with warm salt water rinses to keep the area clean. Do not smoke, spit, or eat dairy products. Take Aspirin for pain, but limit that if the site is still bleeding or if you have stomach "issues". The doctor will want to see you to be sure all is ok and that you are healing properly.
