Depends: The micro-fracture will heal. Meniscal tears sometimes heal, but usually remain torn although the pain goes away. Depending on your lifestyle/activity level surgery is option not mandated. If you decline offered repair, there will likely be repeat episodes of pain/recovery. Surgery usually removes the tear and knee/activity returns essentially to normal, although traumatic arthritis eventually.
