Moderate to severe: Persons with alzheimer's disease may become angry if they do not understand another person. Especially, if the other person tries to provide care they do not believe is necessary. If the caregiver persists, they may defend themselves, become combative and even strike that person. However, they are not really aggressive, they actually consider the caregiver to be the aggressor.
