Please answer! what kind of eye specialist works under the direction of an ophthalmologist?

Several: Ophthalmologists are sort of the captain of the ship, having the most training and knowledge. Some employ optometrists to do routine eyeglass and contact fitting. Others employed are opticians who make eyeglasses, orthoptists who deal with eye motility and ophthalmic technicians who can perform some technical measurements.
