Can any doc tell me what's the difference between thrombus, thrombosis and atherosclerosis?

All different: Thrombus is a clot either in an artery or a vein. Thrombosis is the result of the clot being in the artery or vein. I.E. A thrombus causes a thrombosis of the vein. Atherosclerosis is the process of plaque build up in arteries (so called hardening of the arteries).
