Hole in tooth: A hole in your tooth is a problem that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. This is most likely decay and it will get bigger and more painful as time goes on. See a dentist.

Hole in tooth: A hole in your tooth suggest a very large cavity (or a lost filling) that probably has been decaying for some time. It means you need to see your local dentist asap for treatment options. Do this even if you are experiencing no pain as severe pain, swelling, more cost to repair/replace and more problems are right around the corner the longer you wait.
