Please explain what do testosterone pills do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Liver disease risk: Most pills need to pass through liver before going to do what they're supposed to do. This is called the "first pass" effect. "Natural" testosterone would be completely destroyed by the liver so testosterone pills have chemically altered testosterone to get by the liver to do what you expect of T pills. However, it's hard on liver and these pills increase risk of liver damage. Don't take T pills.
