Depends: It depends on the references in the lab in which it was performed. However, this value is usually borderline low. In this case, we check another blood test for homocysteine and methylmalonic acid levels, which should be elevated in vitamin B12 deficiency. If confirmed, further testing is needed and should be treated. Good luck..
