A member asked:

Is there any antibiotics i can use for hidradenitis suppurativa ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Limited Utility: There are a number of antibiotics that can sometimes help when there are infections of hidradenitis. However, the primary problem in hidradenitis is not infectious. It is due to a network of cysts and sinus tracts beneath the skin that can often be inflammed. There are some medications that can help, but often patients need referral to a plastic surgeon.
