Different viruses: These are all completely different viruses which can cause hepatitis. Hepatitis d is always seen in conjunction with hepatitis b. Hepatitis c is the most common hepatitis in the us and is generally transmitted by blood transfusion or IV drug use. Hepatitis e is an infection transmitted in feces, similar to hepatitis a.
