What is the difference between hepatitis and tuberculosis?

Hepatitis vs TB: Hepatitis means that your liver is inflammed -whether from infection (i.e. Hep C) or from another type of disease - say 'autoimmune hepatitis'. TB or tuberculosis refers to a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis - which is a germ that ordinarily attacks the lungs, although other sites can be involved. Hepatitis from TB is very rare, so not sure 'what' your question really refers to. Ask HT
