If i never knew i had hepatitis c. why would i want to know in my late 50s? what difference will it make for me, others?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Big difference: Chronic hepatitis c infection can be asymptomatic for decades and then lead to liver failure and/or liver cancer. If detected early, there is treatment which can change this course.
