Depends on cause: Numerous gut diseases are associated with flatulence, from food allergies to ibs to endometriosis and cancer. Other causes: lactose intolerance, inability to digest fats, too much sugar, too many beans, and even too much fiber. You are genetically biochemically unique, and there is no simple answer that fits everyone. If this is an acute problem, try activated charcoal tabs to absorb the gas.

Cruciferous veggies like broccoli/cauliflower/cabbage/brussel sprouts also major gas formers. OTC Simethicone works well for some people.
