A member asked:

Fludrocortisone .1mg, had hypoglycemia not diabetic. can it cause this or am i blaming the wrong thing here? i do have dysautonomia.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No one: In the absence of diabetes medication, GI surgery or end-stage renal/hepatic/cancer disease has hypoglycemia. It's just your body returning your glucose to normal when you're Insulin resistant and overweight. Fludrocortisone is a mineralocorticoid and only increases sodium, fluid retention, bp, etc. It has no effect whatsoever on glucose metabolism.
