A member asked:

Take florinef (fludrocortisone) for dysautonomia when on .1mg i get a tight feeling at top of head and more lightheaded. could this be intracrainial hypertension?

NO: You can't feel elevated intracranial pressure. If you have unacceptable side effects from flurinef, you should either reduce the dose or stop it.

NOT LIKELY: The steroid could cause some adverse effects, and headaches or dizziness can occur, but would be very unique to have increased intracranial pressure from your standard dosing. There are other medications which might be of value and perhaps better tolerated, so contact your doctor and see if another approach might be best. By the way, hip length TED stockings might solve the blood pressure issues
