No: You can't catch rabies from an animal unless it is also affected. Licking is unlikely to transmit the virus in any case. It would be a sad world indeed for pet owners if being licked put their owners in danger. House animals don't just carry rabies, but must acquire it (say, being bitten by a wild animal); most are immunized in any case.
