Tis not safe at all.: Not unless the small abdominal aortic aneurysm has been cleared by airport security! lol! couldn't resist the one liner! but seriously..... With or without any type of abdominal aorta i must agree with dr. Killian, suntanning beds are by no means safe or without risk for other really nasty things like skin cancers or at the very least skin burns of a serious nature.

AAA: Don't use tanning beds. They are terrible for your skin and can cause cancer. It has nothing to do with your aneurysm.

Well: Getting into a tanning bed might be safe as long as you never turn it on ! tanning beds are a major risk for skin cancer.

Absolutely: There is nothing about an abdominal aortic aneurysm that would be affected or influenced by a tanning bed except perhaps trying to lift the bed or move it around. Tanning beds carry their own inherent risks however, from increasing your risk for developing skin cancers to overt burns or electrocution injuries. Used properly and in moderation, like with everything in life, you should be fine.

For the aneurysm: The aneurysm will not be affected by the tanning bed. You should be aware of the risks to your skin, however.
