Normal: Ovulation predictor kits check for a hormone that surges leading to ovulation. The hormone level then drops and is no longer detected by the urine test kits. Therefore it's normal for the test to turn negative. You don't need to keep checking once you detect a positive. Best time for intercourse to attempt pregnancy is the first day you detect positive OPK and next day.
