Stop testing: It is normal for ovulation kits to stay normal for several days then become negative. There is no need to check beyond the initial positive result. The hormonal rise that causes the positive result lingers for a few days which will keep an ovulation test positive. Ovulation kits are an indirect way to check ovulation. Progesterone blood testing is much more definitive
