C5-C6: Is the most common location a cervical disc herniation. Symptoms are: weakness/pain in the bicep and in the front of the upper arm and wrist muscles. Numbness and tingling along with heterotopic pain to the thumb side of the hand. Hope it helps.

Usually Thumb + 1: A c5-6 disc typically causes weakness in the thumb and index finger. C6 distribution - not everyone is wired exactly the same way so it may affect middle finger as well.

C5 and C6: Can affect the forearm (c5) and then the thumb, index and middle fingers (c6) might be involved. If the compression is really bad it can affect all the fingers as well.
