Not sexual: Jock itch or tinia cruex in medical jargon, is from a skin fungal infection that develops on wet irritated skin. The skin between the scrotum and the thighs can chaff and stay sweaty which is a set up for this. Topical anti fungal like lotrimin (clotrimazole) works. Wicking friction reducing active clothing will help.
