Tinnitus : Pulsatile tinnitus is a serious condition. This can be something simple such as wax occlusion of the ear canal, fluid in the middle ear, or congestion of the middle ear. However, a persistent condition does need a thorough evaluation with an ent. A central nervous system abnormality needs be ruled out. This includes arteriovenous fistula, arteriovenous malformation , and another conditions.

Pulsatile tinnitus: Is a rhythmical noise that has the same rate as the heart. This is easily checked by feeling the arm pulse at the same time as listening to the tinnitus. Pulsatile tinnitus is due to a change in blood flow in the vessels near the ear. Rec.: see your pcp for further investigation and treatment the cause. Hope it helps.
