See vascular doctor: The small blood vessels can develop an aneurysm or a structure to this area. If it is on the thumb side there are extra blood vessels to the rest of the pinky. The vascular or hand doctor can tell you if surgery is needed to protect the finger or can you live with it and not have it extend to the whole pinky.

Bruise or: Popped blood vessel in the finger, may have done it in sleep of to preoccupied with another activity to remember injuring it. Ice it and if worse or not improving in 10-14 days see your doctor.

Ruptured blood vessel: U probably ruptures a blood vessel in your hand in the 5th finger. This can happen spontaneously while gripping something. Sometimes it is associated with a bleeding disorder or the use of a blood thinner or aspirin. Seee a doc if gets worse pain or get bruising in other sites on your hands or body.
