Amenorrhea : A young woman who has stopped menstruating has "secondary amenorrhea". There are many causes for this. Most of which are hormonal. She would need a gyn doc or an endocrinologist to do the work up, which would involve an exam and many blood tests to check for causes of this disturbance, including: thyroid problems, premature ovarian failure, polycystic ovarian syndrome, the list goes on.
