A member asked:

Im 22, my cycle is irregular since i was a teen. i only got 6-7 periods a year. ive seen ob-gyn multiple times, the doctor said it's because of my hormonal. is it true that my condition makes it harder to pregnant? i want to get married in 3 years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It may make it harder to time sex to coincide with a fertile window but it does not, by itself, mean trouble conceiving. The average wait for a desired pregnancy is 6 mo with a range from weeks to a year. If a greater delay occurs both parents would be evaluated. I would enjoy your life and let yourself be surprised when the process fulfills your goal.
