Same as adults.: The same types of antidepressants used for adults but they have to be monitored very closely. It depends on the type of depression and the presence of other factors like anxiety, substance abuse, somatic symptoms, specific antidepressants are chosen. Psychotherapy is very important and have to be used with antidepressant and maybe even family therapy.
