Platelet aggregation: A platelet aggregation panel is used to diagnose hereditary and acquired platelet function disorders. The patient's platelets are combined with agents such as epinephrine, collagen, and adp which are known to make the platelets form blood clots. By watching how this reaction occurs, the pathologist can tell how well the patient's platelets work.
