A member asked:

My test report is showing globulin 4.0 and platelets 484 and esr 45? what does it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on details: Lab results are just numbers. Their meaning depends on why tests were done and what is happening to the person. In a normal, healthy person, results inside the reference range or a little outside the reference range, are usually not worrisome. Reference range includes about 95% (not 100%) of normal people, which means 5% of normal people have values outside the reference range.
