Depends: Depends how close you got to your buddy. Strep throat is spread through the respiratory tract. If you start getting a sore throat, see a physician.

Possibly: Strep is spread from the respiratory tract so it depends on contact, proximity and time exposed. Sharing food, drinks....Increased the probability. If you develop a sore throat see your doctor.
