Depressed: The scar will be low in the abdomen above the pubis, much like a c-section scar. Most likely it will be depressed. Occasionally it may be a thin line but to minimize a scar fine sutures and a good tension relieving subcutaneous layer of slowly absorging sutures needs to be used. If poor healing, bad tension and or an infection result the scar will be wide and need revision.
