Follow up appt: Pneumonia takes time to resolve. If your doctor has determined that antibiotics are needed, some reasons that the pneumonia may linger includes resistance of the bacteria to the antibiotic, skipped doses or another infection in addition to the original one. A follow up appt with your doctor is suggested.
