I have a high spiral fracture of the fibula by my knee and my orthopedic surgeon wants to schedule surgery for damaged tendons at my ankle. there have been no mris taken and physical examination was minimal. how did she come to this conclusion?

A good physical. The ankle X-rays might show widening of the medial aspect of the ankle joint. No need for MRI. A stress test will confirm the diagnosis
