What are some signs that labor is soon?

Well: Some women get a burst of energy, not all, on some the water breaks, in some lose their mucous plug and in others they just start with contractions. Every labor is different, even for the same woman!

Mucous plug: Some women will lose their mucous plug a week or two prior to the onset of labor. This is very variable. Another is the sensation that you can now breath because the baby has settled lower into the pelvis. Also a change in the way you walk for that reason and a sensation around the rectum.
