Pain, pressure.: Increasing pelvic pressure and recurrent abdominal pain (contractions) every 5-10 minutes are typical signs of early labor. Some women will pass their mucus plug, a bloody vaginal discharge, at the onset of labor. Others present with rupture of membranes and leaking fluid vaginally.
