Yes: Clinical exam still is useful especially by an orthopedic surgeon. Mr is used to confirm suspicion but not necessary.

If you are speaking-: -of a free fragment, they are called joint mice, because they are hard to find. Usually a history is that a patient see a small bludgeon, but goes to touch it it scoots away and is gone. Imaging such as an MRI with contras it can be seen, or the defect is visible appearing as a dent in the articular cartilage filled with dye.
