No: If you absorb B12 normally, taking supplementation will increase blood levels. If your kidney function is normal, you will just eliminate the excess in the urine.

Relax: Though the number is high, vitamin B12 is not a fat soluble vitamin and will not accumulate in the body. What your body does not use will land up in the urine. No harm in lowering your dose though.

NO: There is no illness associated with a high B12 level, but you probably don't need to continue to take b12. If it is not known why your spleen is large, and platelets low, this needs to be investigated. You might consult a hematologist. Liver disease is 1 common cause of this, but there are many others.
