Luvox (fluvoxamine) cr: Has less side effects, how ever both drugs are from the same group, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Patients who are started on therapy with ssri, antidepressants should be closely observed for clinical worsening. Withdrawal of any of these drugs may result in withdrawal symptoms. Do not discontinue this drugs abruptly. If concerned, talk to your doctor asap.

Yes.: All antidepressants have side-effect. Luvox (fluvoxamine) and Anafranil that are specifically used for obsessive compulsive problems have anticholinergic side effects causing dryness of the mouth, constipation, etc. There are other approved ssris that are indicated for ocd which have lesser side-effects, depending on what you are experiencing.

Due to your age and: Medications, it would be safer for you to take cipralex. It has definitely fewer drug interactions and a more benign side effect profile. However, as in all issues like this, you should follow the advice of your psychiatrist and take the one that has the best chance of working for you.
