? Infection: If you have a lump in last 24 hours, it could be due to injury or infection. If you have a fever or pain with that lump which indicates an infection then you want to see a doctor asap. Sometime we don't notice the lump or bump for sometime even though they are there for long time. If you think that the lump might be there for long time, then you want to a surgeon on routine basis.
