See answer: Vaginal itching is a common problem and usually either due to an infection or irritation. The three most common causes of infectious vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis, yeast, and trichomonas all of which are usually associated with odor and/or discharge. Non-infectious vaginitis are usually caused by an irritant: vaginal sprays, douches, perfumed soaps, scented detergents and spermicidal products.
