Are you afraid of: The dark? Afraid of what you can not see? Have you been traumatized in the past? Are anxiety and depressions actual diagnoses you have - or just a description of how you are feeling. It sounds like this is really impacting your quality of life. Therapy and meds: There can be many reasons why someone gets more anxious at night. Could have something to do with sleep, being alone, or anticipatory anxiety about work the next day. I suggest you explore this with a psychotherapist and possibly consider seeing a psychiatrist for medication.
