A 20-year-old female asked:

let me add detail to the last q. it's a 30 day event monitor, cardionet wevent. it always says monitoring. does it run continuously?

Event recorder: I believe that this type of heart monitor has to be activated by the patient at the time symptoms are felt as opposed to a loop which records continuously. It's best to check with your physician, cardiologist or the cardiac department where the monitor was put on you.

Get looked at: The likelihood is that you're just dehydrated or have some mild heat exhaustion. But without specifics it's difficult if not impossible to know for sure. Probably a good idea to get checked out by your primary care provider.

Coffee and health: Depends. Some people drink coffee for years without problems. Some people develop intestinal problems or sleep problems or jitters with coffee and need to stop stopping coffee suddenly often results in caffeine withdrawl headaches. If you stop , then do it gradually over several weeks.

Same difference: Either way, do what you will stick with month in and month out. Pay attention to your muscles and joints. Feel for strains and pain and lighten up immediately to prevent being laid up for weeks at a time.

Yes But: I used to do 7 miles 7 days per week. To protect your knees be sure you have good shoes and if possible run on a surface other than concrete. I now walk 5 miles an hour so maybe a good speed walk in good shoes?

Frustrating: Sorry, as frustrating as that is, it is probably normal, due to hormones, stress, and your age. If any other symptoms, should see a dr for once-over.
