Unlikely: Stress/anxiety can worsen high blood pressure, but it's rarely the sole cause of blood pressure as high as you describe. Often, in teenagers and young adults with high blood pressure, tests are performed to look for blockage in the aorta, kidney problems, and hormone problems.

What?: Those are not the right tests for high blood pressure. You must have some other symptoms too? You should have a urinalysis and blood work for kidney function and electrolytes. A physical exam to exclude coarctation. Purchase your own BP cuff, check your BP once a day, but 3 times at complete rest and average them. If it is anxiety, you'll quickly see it normalize in the calm of your own home.
