See doc: Will need good evaluation, tetanus, and likely appropriate antibiotics. Always possibly may need to be cleaned out better, and ensure no retained foreign bodies.

Clean thoroughly: This should be done right away after a puncture wound and with an antibacterial soap. I would then apply an antibiotic ointment and bandage. Elevate the leg as much as possible. Tetnus shot if none in the past five years. Look out for signs of infection like redness, foul smelling drainage, increasing pain or warmth to the touch. Diabetics or those with other medical problems should consult a doc.
