It can be used: It can be used for short period as an expectorant if you have productive cough but if the cough is due to bronchial asthma than your cough will improve as your asthma is brought under control so if you have asthma you need to use inhalers for asthma to control/relieve asthma symptoms including cough.And you can use it for short term along with asthma rx.
