IV insulin, fluids: A blood sugar level of 800 is dangerously high and probably be associated with a potentially fatal condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. This metabolic emergency is treated with intravenous insulin, replacing fluids lost by dehydration, and adjusting electrolytes (sodium, potassium). It could take 4-6 hours to safely lower a blood sugar this high.

IV medication: This is an emergent level. If the level is 800, it needs to be brought down. Often it is with an Insulin IV drip. But this that will cause havoc with electrolyte balances if this is a type i dm. Get evaluated and get this under control.
