Not normal: You have not given enough information but with what you did give it is definitely something that needs further investigation. I would request possibly visiting with a pediatric immunologist, there may be some immune problem underlying, .

Too many antibiotics: If you have a pediatrician, it is unlikely that 7 antibiotics for a throat and ear infection would be appropriate for an 8 month old. It may be a viral infection. I would suggest that a culture of the throat be obtained to identify specifically if there is a bacterial infection. Finally, it is not always that easy to make a diagnosis of middle ear infection at this age. See a ped. Ent doc.
