No side effects: There should be no side effects of magnets in the mask, or of the mask itself, as far as I am aware. It probably will not have a tremendous effect on the glasses prescription, however. A glasses prescription is almost exclusively dependent on the length of the eye and curvature of the cornea. Focusing ability declines naturally with age. The period of rest may help with eye strain symptoms.
