Should one wash the eyes thoroughly with water before going to an mri scan?as some dust particles might be present which the magnet can attract?

No worry for dust: The only concern is over the potential for metal shavings in persons who are metalworkers or could potentially be exposed to metal shavings in the eye. This should be screened for with either a regular x-ray or ct scan. There is otherwise no need to wash the eyes before an MRI scan.
