Yes: Basically the same thing hypothyroidism. The simple primary hypothyroidism is failure of the thyroid gland Hashimotos is an autoimmune condition where the thyroid is being attacked by your immune system. Its a more severe condition because it is auto immune but the treatment is almost the same
